Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

LapMap is a public directory for discovering gentlemen’s clubs and related venue information. This policy explains what information may be handled when you browse LapMap, create an account, submit directory content, contact us, or use an optional analytics feature.

Information you provide

  • Accounts: If you register or sign in, WordPress and the account features may store information such as your username, email address, password-related account data, profile details, and the identity information supplied by a social-login provider if you choose one.
  • Directory activity: Listing submissions, ownership or claim requests, corrections, reviews, comments, uploaded media, and other forms may include the name, contact details, business information, message, or other content you choose to provide. Published listings and approved reviews may be visible to other visitors.
  • Payments: If a paid listing or other paid feature is enabled, LapMap may receive invoice, package, and transaction details. The payment provider shown at checkout processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
  • Support requests: Information you send through the Contact page or another support route is used to respond, investigate, prevent abuse, and keep a record of the request.

Information handled during site operation

LapMap, WordPress, and the hosting and security systems that run the site may process technical information such as an IP address, request and referrer details, browser or device information, timestamps, and error or security records. This information is used to serve pages, keep the site secure, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or other sensitive information in a public review or support message.

Analytics and consent

Analytics is off by default. LapMap does not load its Google Analytics tag until you choose Accept analytics or have an existing granted choice. If you accept, LapMap sends Google Analytics event data about broad page categories and bounded navigation, form, directory, and performance outcomes. Depending on the action, this can include event metadata such as login or signup method and outcome, listing or review outcome, geolocation permission outcome without coordinates, and—on a paid-feature receipt page—transaction, value, currency, and package metadata. The current measurement code does not send usernames, email addresses, passwords, profile details, raw form field values, or search terms, and it does not send precise geolocation coordinates. It also disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals.

Google may process information such as browser and device information, approximate location, and analytics identifiers when analytics is enabled. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Analytics disclosure guidance for Google’s own practices. You can reject analytics or reopen Privacy choices at any time. If no prior granted LapMap choice exists, enabling Global Privacy Control also keeps LapMap analytics off; an existing granted LapMap choice remains in effect until you change it.

Third-party assets and links

Some pages may request fonts from Google Fonts and, when map features are used, map tiles or geocoding from OpenStreetMap or Nominatim before or independently of the optional analytics choice. Those requests can expose the request’s IP address, browser, and other technical metadata to the relevant provider under that provider’s own policy. Links to club websites, Google Maps, or other third-party sites take you outside LapMap; their policies apply.

Cookies and similar storage

  • WordPress and account features may set essential session, login, security, or preference cookies when those features are used.
  • lapmap_consent is a first-party LapMap cookie that records granted or denied for 180 days so the analytics choice is remembered.
  • lapmap_ga_evt is a first-party, short-lived event handoff cookie used for up to five minutes after a consented server-side outcome. It is only queued after analytics consent and is deleted when read.
  • Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* only after analytics is enabled. Google controls the retention of its analytics cookies and associated data.

You can clear cookies in your browser. Clearing lapmap_consent will cause LapMap to ask for an analytics choice again.

How information is used

  • to operate the directory, accounts, listings, reviews, support, and correction workflows;
  • to moderate submissions, investigate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the site;
  • to measure aggregate site use when you have enabled analytics;
  • to process paid features and maintain related invoice or accounting records when applicable; and
  • to comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

Who may receive information

Information may be accessible to the people and services needed to operate LapMap, including the site’s hosting and infrastructure providers, WordPress and directory service providers, and administrators handling moderation or support. Google receives analytics data only after analytics consent. A payment provider receives the information required for a payment when a paid feature is used. Content that you submit for public display may be visible to visitors, and links from listings may take you to third-party sites with their own policies.

Retention

There is no single automatic deletion period for every LapMap record. Account, listing, review, support, security, and transaction or invoice records may be kept while they are needed for the related service, moderation, dispute handling, security, accounting, or legal obligations. When a record is no longer needed, site administrators may delete or anonymize it, subject to backups and legitimate retention needs. Google and payment providers set their own retention periods for information they process.

Your choices and requests

You may ask about, correct, export, or request deletion of personal information associated with your LapMap account or submission, subject to verification and records that must be retained for legal, security, moderation, or dispute purposes. Use the Contact page to make a privacy or correction request. We will review the request and explain any limits that apply.

Security and changes

No website or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy when the site, its features, or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
